First Version

[edit]

In order to resolve a dead link on the Universal Disk Format page, I created an initial version of this page. The page contains some basic public information about the DVD-VR recording standards and how it's used in products that are in the market. Doubtlessly the page is incomplete, but I think this version provides a fair overview composed from technical information from the the sites of OSTA, the DVD Forum, DVD FLLC, and product information of recorder products. As for audio encoding formats, I think that AC3 is also an allowed format for recording, but I can't find any reliable public sources backing that up, so I left it out for now. Not only is AC3 allowed, but it is actually supported in some recorders. 20.133.0.13 (talk) 14:49, 24 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
