Lack of neutrality

[edit]

I see a lot of DHL sources and greenwashing here. Critical reports and non primary sources are missing. For example glossing over teh fact how DHLs hub in Leipzig came about : "On 21 October 2004, DHL Express announced that it planned to move its European hub from Brussels to Leipzig"- a DHL pree release! Leipzigs dire need of jobs and the heavy duty government subsidy that made this possibleis totally omitted. The night flight business creating havoc for people who live nearby is omitted. Support. Even 2 years later it still reads like one big DHL advertisement. Wish I had the time or know-how to correct it. WhitingN (talk) 04:31, 29 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Proposed merge of Packfleet into DHL

Acquired by DHL in March 2025; does not appear to be that notable. Ixfd64 (talk) 18:24, 13 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

New corporate structure effective 1 September 2026

[edit]

Hello everyone,

I previously commented on the DHL Group discussion page regarding the recent corporate restructuring and renaming of parts of the DHL Group. These changes, including the renaming of the parent company Deutsche Post AG to DHL AG, took effect on 1 September 2026.

In light of these developments, I would like to open a discussion about whether the article structure on the English Wikipedia should be adapted accordingly, similar to the approach currently taken on the German Wikipedia. At this stage, I am not proposing specific article moves or changes. My aim is simply to gather the community's views on how these changes might best be reflected.

Based on the new legal structure, it may be worth considering whether this article should be renamed to DHL Express. Some content could potentially be moved to the parent company DHL Group, as the article currently appears to focus primarily on DHL Express rather than on DHL AG as a whole. The current title, "DHL", may also be somewhat ambiguous, as it could be understood as referring either to DHL Express or to the parent company DHL Group / DHL AG.

In addition, the infobox and several sections of this article appear to overlap with content currently found in the DHL Group article. For example, the infobox and the section "Use of electric vehicles" seem to contain information relating to DHL Group rather than specifically to DHL Express. At present, some of this information appears in both articles.

Further information on the restructuring can be found here: https://group.dhl.com/en/about-us/the-group/strategy/modernization-corporate-structure.html

I would be very interested in hearing the community's views on these observations.

Many thanks in advance for your input. Michael at DHL Group (talk) 12:34, 16 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
