This is just factually not true
[edit]"BYTE in 1984 reported that Venix on the PC outperformed the same operating system on the DEC Professional and PDP-11/23." The article, BYTE pg 134 says: No. 9 IBM PC XT version VENIX/86 9.0 Seconds. No. 8 PDP-11/23 Version VEXIX 5.5 Seconds. No. 14 DEC Pro/350 Version VENIX 6.3 seconds.
They did not add "Smaller is better" in those days because they thought that people would know better.
