Question about the Hypixel Diaz addition
[edit]So people keep adding Diaz as a hypixel mayor here (they've been doing this to multiple pages) What do we do about that? Since I don't believe it's worth keeping here. Blegar1 (talk) 01:48, 3 April 2021 (UTC) comment added by Blegar1 (talk • contribs) 01:22, 3 April 2021 (UTC)
Requested move 21 November 2025
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: moved. Any concerns about the positions of Diaz and Diaz (disambiguation) can be discussed separately. (non-admin closure) Thanks, 1isall (he/him) (talk | contribs) 16:37, 28 November 2025 (UTC)
Díaz (surname) → Díaz – If this is the primary topic, then this should be moved to the base title because it already redirects here, which is considered malplaced. ArthananWarcraft (talk) 15:17, 21 November 2025 (UTC)
- Support as per nom. 162 etc. (talk) 16:39, 21 November 2025 (UTC)
- Support appears to be the only use with the diacritic per WP:SMALLDETAILS. Crouch, Swale (talk) 18:04, 21 November 2025 (UTC)
- Support as the only topic for the base name, per WP:QUALIFIER. Mdewman6 (talk) 00:33, 22 November 2025 (UTC)
- Support per nom, primary with that string so name can be title without modification. Routine WP:TITLEDAB case. ~2025-31245-28 (talk) 21:42, 24 November 2025 (UTC)
- Comment should Diaz (accentless) point here or to Diaz (disambiguation) ? -- ~2025-32349-50 (talk) 08:21, 25 November 2025 (UTC)
- To this page because it is the primary topic. ~2025-31245-28 (talk) 17:28, 25 November 2025 (UTC)
- The discussion is about the accented form, but no one mentioned the accentless one. WP:SMALLDETAILS makes it so that the two different forms can have different primarities. Crouch, Swale, in particular mentions that the primarity is determined for the accented form. And Mdewman6's statement would seeem to only applies to the accented form, as there are multiple topics available for the unaccented form. -- ~2025-32349-50 (talk) 06:19, 26 November 2025 (UTC)
- This digression is off topic for this discussion, but if you believe there is no PTOPIC for the unaccented version, and want Diaz (disambiguation) moved to Diaz, start an RM on its talk page. Otherwise the existing consensus that the surname is the primary topic holds. ~2025-31245-28 (talk) 16:42, 26 November 2025 (UTC)
