In this section, there are 2 mistakes:

* Although cyanogen (CN)_2 has been detected in space, it is not used to measure the temperature of interstellar cloud. Its detection is indirect and quite difficult. On the other hand, the CN radical is routinely observed.
* The paper referenced (currently footnote [11]) is not about the temperature of the gas, but the temperature of the CMB (Cosmic Microwave Bakground). It happens that radiative pumping by CMB photons is the main pumping mechanism for the lowest rotational transition of CN. So, the excitation temperature of this transition is close to the CMB temperature.
