Reference search
[edit]I did a search for references to improve this article and found extremely little, to the extent that I thought this might have to be upmerged to glossary of social dance terms for lack of notability. I eventually found a bit on Google Books, but it's still slim (and upmerging might still be best).
The only academic journal result I could find, this one, has barely anything (and seems rather classist?). But this post has some stuff relevant to the U.S. Naval Academy, and seems reliable enough since it comes from a librarian. Dance a While has some discussion that may be a different form of cutting than the one discussed in this article, and not sure if it's reliable. Dance Hall Days is the best source I've found, and I'll add it to the article. Sdkb talk 02:12, 8 May 2025 (UTC)
