Contested deletion
[edit]This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because I also wrote the content on www.cumbancha.com/about. I fully intend to rewrite the article to contain an objective voice and give more detail to the creation and history of the company (as well as cite third-party references) but I have, in the mean time, adopted the more objective statements from the official biography to hold in it's place. I believe the language I lifted and adopted is more than sufficiently objective. --Nconcklin (talk) 21:19, 13 September 2012 (UTC)
- I have removed part of the lead and the etymology and history sections. It doesn't actually matter that you wrote the original text, since, according to the website itself, Cumbancha Press owns the copyright. In any event, even if you did own it, Wikipedia does not allow copyrighted material to be copied into it. However, there is sufficient non-violating material to be worth saving, so I declined deletion of the article.
- However, on another note, if you wrote the webpage text, I'm assuming you work for the company. In that case, we strongly recommend that you do not edit this article directly, per our guidelines on editing with a conflict of interest. Qwyrxian (talk) 23:21, 13 September 2012 (UTC)
