When did the Cultural Revolution end?

The first paragraph notes that it ended with Mao's death (September 9, 1976); the sidebar has Oct. 6 (arrest of Gang of Four); some scholars put the end date in 1977 (Kraus, p. 20). Should this be fixed or addressed? Oaxacanalia (talk) 19:48, 30 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
