Hello. I am willing to review this article for GA status. In general, it seems to be a good shout, but I will be taking as close an eye as ever with such an important page. More to follow. Grandiose (me, talk, contribs) 17:12, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

• Lead section: yes. Balanced and representative.
• Layout: yes. Sections of a reasonable length, and in my view, with suitable weight to each other.
• Words to watch: TBC
• Fiction/list incorporation: not a signficant issue.

2. Generally good. I have added a couple of {{citation needed}} tags where I think there should be a reference, or one duplicated to there. Some of the referencing styles are inconsistent, however, this isn't too much of a problem at GA. For example, some citations use brackets, some do not. I think there should be a sentence in "History" to the effect of "The Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes was renamed in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia in ####" with a reference, it is quite unclear at the moment to which kingdom the section heading occurs. Added a few more {citation needed}s. A few comments on the images:

• Ideally, the description of File:Greda i zabat s natpisom kneza Branimira 879.jpg, File:2005 1031Image0011.jpg, File:Vlada RH.jpg, File:Autocesta A5 Hrvatska 005.jpg, File:NSK Zagreb.jpg, File:Trakošćan 2007.JPG, File:Zgrada HRT Zagreb.jpg would include an English version (not required)
• I've corrected the licensing of File:Bascanska ploca.jpg and File:Sibenik 2003.jpg.

After a little further copyediting, I have passed the article. Please note the the guideline on non-breaking spaces:

• Yes: "10 million things" (has one between "10" and "million")
