Hey! I corrected some minor grammar things already, but I also had a few suggestions. 1). In your example section, I think the Sceloporus example would work really well after the plant and animal examples. I do like it where it is too, so I also had wondered if maybe a more detailed hypothetical would be ok if you didn't want to change where it is at now. I just don't know much about countergradients and thought maybe a little more explanation here would be helpful. P.S. Thanks for including plants :) 2). When talking about the experiment with the egg yolk, I was wondering if maybe splitting that up into 2 sentences might help the flow a little. 3). In the last section you explain the benefits of larger body size. One sentence mentions the connection between body size and reproductive output. Thank you Shelby! I made some edits already, and I will think about changing that example to be a more specific one. I like the Sceloporus example where it is, but I might use one of the other animals to give a more detailed example rather than a hypothetical one.

Great article! I made specific comments in your article, and most of them revolved around places where I wasn't quite understanding what you were saying. You have a somewhat complicated and abstract topic, so I suggested some places where more concrete examples might help. Also, I think that there are things that are obvious to you (i.e. the expected effect that latitude has on growth rate), that are not as obvious to me, a non-ecologist, and therefore may be confusing to other Wikipedia users. In these cases I think it would be helpful if you just laid out the basic expectations. It's looking really great, and after you address some of the comments, I think you are ready to move to the Wikipedia main page! Advevol (talk) 18:57, 12 April 2017 (UTC)

Response to peer review: Most of the comments I received were about clarifying information or adding specific examples to illustrate some of the more abstract points. I addressed these by laying out expectations versus what is actually seen under countergradient variation. I also added a few specific examples of developmental deformities and moved my general example to the introduction. Hedgehog1017 (talk) 23:42, 20 April 2017 (UTC)
