I'm struggling with the article's claim that Hipster fashion "prefigured many of the aesthetics of cottagecore". I would have thought that Laura Ashley-type styles and English country clothing were far more influential fashions? Obscurasky (talk) 07:52, 28 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

I largely agree! I agree that hipster fashion established a way of thinking about fashion nostalgically that seems to have led to the establishment of a number of aesthetics, but there is no way to source this at this point due to the gap in literature on the subject. I'd like to expand this section, but honestly I don't know what sort of sources would be useful in order to ensure this article doesn't end up being very hazy.
