Splitting the article
[edit]I gather out of the current state of the article that there are two meanings of samen term 'CDU'. I recommend splitting this article in two other articles, namely Control Display Unit (Aviation) and Control Display Units (Marine Technology) or something like that. Autopilot misunderstanding
[edit]The Flight Management System (FMS) and the Autopilot are different systems (i.e. not a synonym for each other). The FMS has an interface to the Autopilot allowing the former to feed the latter with flight guidance signals.--The Sim (talk) 22:32, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
