Merge???

[edit]

Great Idea....I just dont know how to merge... Mymazdatribute 07:59, 25 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

I don't think they should be merged because aside from their similar names, they have nothing in common.Undeuxtroiskid 07:12, 31 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
I disagree. They should be merged because they have a lot more than name in common... they are both types of AWD/4WD on Ford vehicles and most people looking up one of them would probably be interested in the other. Also, I doubt much more will be written about these topics... as small as they will probably remain, it wouldn't hurt to merge them together. .Werd678 Feb 1 2007

Fair enough. I still mildly disagree but I digress. Should there be a page entitled "Ford AWD/4WD Systems" that provides a rundown of Ford AWD/4WD systems (Control-Trac/Control-Trac II/Intelligent 4WD/Haldex systems/4WD used on trucks) or should just the Control-Trac and Control-Trac II be merged? I'm willing to work on either but I won't act unilaterally.Undeuxtroiskid 00:10, 12 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I like the idea of a page entitled "Ford AWD/4WD Systems", however i don't know much about the other systems. The reason i came to this article in the first place was to learn more about advacetrac since my new explorer has it. I was also trying to identify the difference between advacetrac and controltrac. If you have knowledge about these and other ford drivetrain systems i would be happy to see more articles on them. It is too bad we can't get more feedback on this discussion.Werd678 Feb 19 2007
