Edit request: synthetic consumer-behaviour evidence

[edit]

Disclosure: I am working on behalf of Verasight, which published the source below.

Please consider adding the following to the article's discussion of consumer-research methods:

“One company-conducted comparison tested whether a large language model could reproduce consumer behaviour measured in a nationally representative survey of 1,519 U.S. adults. Across questions about coffee consumption and brand awareness, the synthetic responses had a mean absolute error of 19.8 percentage points.[1]”

The wording identifies the research as company-conducted and limits the claim to its reported experiment. I am requesting independent editorial review rather than editing the article directly.  Not done as in other recent requests. WeyerStudentOfAgrippa (talk) 21:30, 6 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
