Vienna

[edit]

"Royal" Academy in 1926 Vienna, 8 years after Austria became a republic?? That can't be right. It has to be either the Academy of Fine Arts or, perhaps more likely, Academy of Applied Arts (design), neither of which had at any time a name that could possibly be translated as "royal." --A.Kracher (talk) 05:51, 13 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

I suspect you may be right. My source listed it as "Royal Academy", so that's what I used. The reference is reliable, but I suspect they meant the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. If anyone else has a book with some information on Ortmayer we could probably find out for sure.-RHM22 (talk) 20:23, 13 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
