Hey, I will be taking on this review and I am SO excited as this is actually my favourite episode of the show and my one of my favourite episodes of all time!

This article looks amazing so far: the sourcing is amazing, the information is thorough and there is clear GNG, there is no OR or copyrights violations etc and I could go on and on, and honestly I recommend going for FA after this passes GA.

I have a couple of comments though from my initial reading:

1.) Lead: "Haley is pregnant with Andy's baby, and the two of them ran away to Las Vegas to get married." - I would recommend adding "that" before the "two of them" and removing the comma, or rewording it.

    •  Done

2.) Plot A.) Can some of the paragraphs be merged together? As they are quite short.

    • I've merged the first two paragraphs

B.) "after a fight" - Could it be clarified that the fight took place offscreen/the previous night?

    •  Done

C.) Please link "Facebook".

    •  Done

D.) The last scene (where Claire is viewing websites and there is the "I know you are ignoring this Mom") could use a short mention.

    • I've haven't included this because the word count for the plot summary is near the limit per MOS:TVPLOT (400 words) and that part's mostly irrelevant to the overall plot]
      • That is fine :)

E.) Can you link Dylan and Andy to their respective sections of the character list? Dylan has a redirect link and I just made one for Andy.

    •  Done. Linked all characters.

3.) "Production": A.) "Claire's laptop includes many inside jokes" - Can this be explained/slightly expanded/have a few examples?

    • Added an example

B.) "both features were non-existent" - Could this be reworded for clarity?

    •  Done

C.) (Last paragraph) - "Each act needed to look as though it were one continuous shot with no cuts" - Can this be clarified?

    • Reworded. I've also linked shot and cut

D.) Is there any more information regarding the rehearsals or actors' views on the episode? No worries if not, I just thought it would benefit the article but it is not essential.

    • I mean, Bowen does say that using the earpiece was "kind of hard" and Rodriguez states that "It takes a lot of work to do it, but if you do it, it’s going to come out great", but I find these comments pretty vague and unfit for an encyclopaedia, so........

4.) Reception

A.) Change "Reviews" to "Critical reception"

    •  Not done as per MOS:VAR (MOS:TVRECEPTION doesn't mention anything about the header title) and this is consistent with other Modern Family episode articles

@Pamzeis: Thank you for telling me this as I was not aware as most of the episodes for other shows used "Critical reception", so thank you for telling me!

B.) " even though some of them stated that it looked like an advertisement for Apple" - Could this be expanded/clarified? Also, I would recommend replacing "even though" with "though" and adding a comma before it.

    • Removed this bit; I meant to remove it when I was re-doing the section due to lack of sourcing but forgot

5.) Images - could a free image be added in "Filming and post-production" or the reception section?

    •  Done. Added an image of Bowen

After these are addressed I will do a quick scan for anymore issues and pass it. Please let me know if you have any questions at all :) DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 03:38, 17 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi, DaniloDaysOfOurLives. Thanks for the review! Glad you enjoyed the episode and the article. I do intend to take this to FAC at some point in the future, but I might get a copy edit and expand it a bit prior to that. Again, thanks for the review :) Pamzeis (talk) 05:36, 18 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thank you so much for addressing these! I cannot see anymore issues. I will do a further spot check later today and then I will pass it :) DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 15:05, 18 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Peer review

[edit]

Hi, everyone. I withdrew this article's FAC after reviewers noted issues with prose. In the months since, it has gone through a copyedit, and I'd like to renominate for FAC at some point.

Thanks, Pamzeis (talk) 19:20, 16 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

@Pamzeis do you still want to keep this open? If so, might I suggest posting notices at WT:WikiProject Television and/or related projects asking for reviews? You might also want to look through WP:FA#Media to see if there are any recent FAs related to this show and (politely) ask the nominators of those if they would be willing to take a look here. Drive-by comment(s) from Dxneo

[edit]

Most references use |website=, why does Motion Picture Association and American Broadcasting Company use |publisher=? dxneo (talk) 22:57, 21 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hi, dxneo. This is per MOS:ITALICTITLE, where the |website= is used to italicise the titles since those are periodicals, whereas the MPA and ABC are not. Thanks. Pamzeis (talk) 11:34, 30 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
