[edit]In the USA, there is a highly controversial project called California Forever. A topic should be opened, but the proposed scale is city-sized. LittleBro96 (talk) 16:27, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
- @LittleBro96, thanks for the suggestion but it is already an article: California Forever. It doesn't really fit the concept of a company town, which is
"a place where all or most of the stores and housing in the town are owned by the same company that is also the main employer"
(emphasis added). Schazjmd (talk) 16:36, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
Bias
[edit]Company towns have been widely documented to foster abusive practices. This article reads as a pro company town fluff piece. With new company towns on the horizon please prioritize updating this article to reflect the actual conditions and outcomes. People deserve to be well informed on topics that could so radically impact their lives. 2601:602:8980:CA5:8EDE:A6DD:1882:3E90 (talk) 18:13, 26 September 2024 (UTC)
Monotown?
[edit]This article is very similar to the article regarding monotowns, perhaps the two should be merged. Humansholdinghands (talk) 23:32, 9 November 2025 (UTC)
