History of coconut ice

[edit]

I wanted to suggest a possible adaptation to this page but don't really have any experience in editing wikipedia articles so figured I'd float my suggestion here instead of just modifying the page. The article for coconut ice says that it's a British confectionery, but the references link to an 1888 book on Indian cooking as the source of the recipe. There's an Indian sweet called Barfi, the name which comes from the Persian word for ice, which has a lot of culinary similarities to this sweet which I think could be reflected in the article Glubgrub (talk) 10:44, 22 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
