- Range map: The origins of the combined range map are shown by links in the image description and it appears to have been derived from these two maps: File:Chough_range_map.png and File:Pyrrhocoraxgraculusmap.png. I do not know why Cyprus is included in the combined range, when it is not included in either of the separate maps. Further, I have a book on the breeding birds of Cyprus that includes a complete check-list and Chough is not included in the Cyprus list. Snowman (talk) 15:38, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

GA review – see WP:WIAGA for criteria 1. Is it reasonably well written?
- A. Yes. Under "Description" I wonder about the sentence "Alpine Chough has a yellow bill and Red-billed Chough has a long, curved, red bill; both species have red legs as adults." Missing "the"s? Similarly, the last section under "Breeding". "Alpine Chough relies more on fruit and berries" Surely "Alpine Choughs rely more on fruit and berries"? See also sentence 3 of "Natural threats" and "Status".

2. Is it factually accurate and verifiable?
- A. References to sources:

- B. Citation of reliable sources where necessary: Yes, and the claim about the highest nesting bird is a big one - the record dates back to 1927. Is it still current? Refs otherwise excellent.
- I've not found anything to challenge or supersede that. Himalayan Snowcock may breed at very high altitudes more regularly than Alpine Chough, but obviously that doesn't prevent the chough holding the record, and its claim to have been seen at 8200 m is accepted by Madge. Red-billed has been recorded as nesting at 6000 m, and that's the weedier of the two, so I don't think the Alpine record is particularly suspect chough
- OK - and don't call me "chough".
3. Is it broad in its coverage? Yes.
4. Is it neutral? Yes.
5. Is it stable? Yes.
6. Does it contain images to illustrate the topic? All fine.
