It is important for understanding this particular era of English history! It is certainly less impactful than something like the Magna Carta, but in many ways it was a precursor to the Magna Carta. Exactly how "important" it is today is subjective, but it's certainly notable at the very least. Pogueostick (talk) 03:03, 1 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

I've removed this sentence from the Summary section because it has no references and the link it mentions is no different to the content already posted.

"The full text of the Charter of Liberties of Henry I, 1100, issued by the King when he ascended the throne is found below under external sources.
