I removed the following sentence from the article

The district were detached from Pattani and transferred to Songkhla in recent times by the Thai government.

The reference to Royal Gazette I added about the rename already lists it as part of Songkhla, and something before 1924 hardly can be described as "recent". It is of course possible that the area of this district was under Mueang Pattani in the past and got reassigned to Songkhla, but there should be some sources backing it, and being a bit more specific than the clearly wrong "recent". andy 12:11, 15 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
