Sourcing
[edit]Please do not use British Raj era and earlier sources in caste-related articles - they are not reliable per long-standing consensus. Similarly, the "states" series of The People of India has been deemed to be unreliable in discussions at WP:RSN. And, more, self-published sources such as those hosted on blogspot are not reliable. It is for these reasons that I have just pruned the article and, to be honest, I think it needs to be completely rewritten as there looks likely to be a lot of WP:SYNTHESIS going on. - Sitush (talk) 19:15, 5 February 2018 (UTC)
