should there be a picture of a cassette tape on the disambiguation page?? i mean i came here in search of a cassette bicycle hub, the audio tape has nothing to do with the other things listed on this page. Ducttapeandzipties 04:51, 23 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

The audio cassette was there because most people would likely be looking for that, and it's an immediately recognisable shortcut for "audio cassette"; i.e. it serves a purpose. Someone else took it off; well, I don't give enough of a damn either way to start an argument about it, but IMHO its inclusion was useful. Fourohfour 10:58, 24 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Cassette and Cartidge

[edit]

this is all wrong so if you copy this you will get a "F" and go to jail -_-  Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.4.165.221 (talk) 15:53, 10 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

I am disputing the notation that the two are commonly interchanged. While I admit some people might do that, I contest that it is a common practice. Specifically I am contesting "and the term chosen may be somewhat arbitrary." The first part is fine.じんない 10:04, 26 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

It does not say they are commonly interchanged. And there is nothing dubious in that something called a cassette will generally resemble a small cartridge--after all, the term is just a bastardised form of 'caissette'. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.27.134.43 (talk) 14:29, 1 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
