Cash App has become a major scam tool and a lot of people has been scammed and lost thousands of dollars through Cash App. This is a criminal behavior happening on a daily base due to the design hole of Cash App. It has fatal and negative impact to the society that is easy to misleading people's impression about the ever-growing mobile payment industry.
I strongly suggest Wiki add a section under Cash App to point out this serious social problem introduced by Cash App. References and evidences can be easily found in Youtube and web. I am reporting this just because my son just got scammed on Cash App today for $1000 lose. 73.254.158.110 (talk) 02:19, 26 January 2020 (UTC)

The entirety of the Safety and Security 1st paragraph. Not only will they not cancel it before it clears, if you report a pending fraudulent charge they tell you they can't cancel it till it clears then file a dispute which will take a minimum of 10 days. There is absolutely no possible way to speak to an employee. It's all call centers. Reading that just now with what I've been thru the past 2 months made me terribly ill. Someone please do 5 min research and put the truth on here. Call them and try to cancel a pending fraud charge. There's the source. Whatever call center answers. Remove Ad-like language

The article reads like an ad with the phrasing `it was acquiring Credit Karma Tax, a free do-it-yourself tax-filing service, for $50 million`. Suggested alternative: `it was acquiring Credit Karma Tax, a tax-filing service, for $50 million`
Not done: The language in question comes directly from the cited source, and is descriptive rather than promotional. Day Creature (talk) 21:31, 14 July 2025 (UTC)

The citations don't support the claim that it is the preferred payment app among lower-income adults in the U.S.
[edit]Neither citation for the sentence "is the preferred payment app among lower-income adults in the U.S." actually supports that claim.
The TIME article (https://web.archive.org/web/20250210234922/https://time.com/personal-finance/article/what-is-cash-app/) doesn't mention lower-income adults, so we must look at the Pew Research study. What the study shows is: - Cash App is most used (36%) compared to the other apps (PayPal, Venmo, Zelle) among lower-income respondents - Lower Income has the highest usage (36%) among users of Cash App (middle income at 24%, upper income at 18%)
Neither of those statements imply that it is the preferred payment app among lower-income adults in the U.S., because if you look across the lower income responses, PayPal still has the most (48%). Not to mention the fact that the poll focuses on "ever use," not "prefer."
I would suggest removing that sentence entirely, or rewording it to focus on a claim that is actually supported by the research - e.g. the claim that "Black Americans [are] more likely than other racial, ethnic groups to say they use Cash App." DownheartedBoy (talk) 15:31, 15 June 2026 (UTC)
