Friedrich Paulus never at any time carried the particle of nobility "von" before his family name nor did anyone else in his family. The singer's father was a foreign legionnaire, supposedly "from Germany". Trying to put together the pieces of information all over the web, also there are implausible age discrepancies within that supposed family tree.
