Skeptical of Merge

[edit]

While "car games" and "travel games" are clearly related categories, there are significant differences. Travel games are games whose components are designed to be compact and resistant to jostling, while car games are designed to be played without components, or with the items at hand on a typical journey (much akin to parlour games). The results are therefore very stylistically different. --Stellmach 14:14, 7 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sod it, I've merged them together. --Dangherous 02:44, 18 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
I almost want to copy-and-paste your definition of travel games directly in the article, but that would be plagiarism. A lot of car games can be played on any vehicle, not just cars or on the road. So personally, I prefer the term "travel game" even if they are stylistically different. 2600:8800:97:E200:8190:3FB8:823D:7A2F (talk) 06:59, 22 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

Should Racing Game and Car combat game be removed? I believe that if anything, a section at the top similar to what exists with brinkmanship would be appropriate for racing game. Otherwise they don't really have a connection to this article. Ryan Vesey (talk) 23:19, 9 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

check DONE. While those articles do use the same words as this article, they are not related concepts. You are correct that they should be removed, and I have done so. Senator2029 (talk) 01:20, 3 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
