[edit]What expression and what part of it is doing the demonstrating? How does it demonstrate it? The lapalissade page has nothing about this. There should be a link here to a page that employs the name Captain Obvious in an American context and answers the questions raised by this strange phrase. - I looked into this a bit and realised it was an inappropriate attempt to define the term in place (i.e. attempt to make this the Captain Obvious page) rather than send us to a page that did so. Jojalozzo (talk) 00:09, 19 January 2025 (UTC)
