- This gives the 81% figure. This points out that what this was really about was promotion for the Big Bang Theory coming out on DVD. I can't find anything about Smith actually publishing this research. I suspect that it was only ever "published" as a press release. SpinningSpark 12:33, 28 April 2018 (UTC)

In reality
[edit]I think there should be an explanation in this section as to why the paradox does not arise in reality. Unfortunately I don't know any sources for that Anselm Schüler (talk) 11:34, 4 August 2025 (UTC)
- It's described as a joke. I think it's quite obvious that buttered toast does not always land butter-side down. Most Wikipedia readers are not too stupid to not realize that. We don't need to insult their intelligence. Sundayclose (talk) 13:52, 4 August 2025 (UTC)
