how much design/gameplay information is appropriate for this article?

the buster sword definitely deserves its own page, but seeing as it's about the sword itself, i'm unsure how much more design/series lore should be included beyond its original + remade designs for FF7.

(i was about to say "i'll check the keyblade article for reference" but we don't have one for the keyblade! probably for the best, that one would never end, lol)

I don't if there is a limit considering Wikipedia has to have all coverage of a subject. If you wanna see another article about a weapon that should be used as example see the Master Sword from the Legend of Zelda Tintor2 (talk) 14:57, 3 July 2026 (UTC)

just took a look at the master sword article — that's a fantastic example, thank you so much! i'm sure we can get the buster sword up to par.

(just a quick aside: now that we're on the subject of recognizable weapons in gaming, should there be a keyblade article? i think it's famous enough by now)

I'm not sure. In order for a fictional character or item to have an article we need sources that help to establish its notability. See WP:Notability. If possible try working in a draft to have it tested and shared by other editors who know might find useful information Tintor2 (talk) 02:23, 4 July 2026 (UTC)
