The article should briefly explain what use has been made of the site in the near two decades since its closure. I can't find much:

this talks about the possible need for an environmental cleanup of the site, and says "Some of the site is also being used by Jon Williams’ Ontario Specialty Contracting and other of his businesses."
this talks about a proposal to manufacture EV batteries there. This also seems to talk about that, but it's subscription only.
