Not sure if this counts, but in the manga series Watashi ga Motenai no wa Dou Kangaetemo Omaera ga Warui! (It's Not My Fault That I'm Not Popular), chapter 212 has a direct reference to the film. A character outlines the plot and the title is mentioned (although censored to avoid legal issues, 'Buffal* 66').

Discrepancy in title

The title section says “[The Bills] who had not won a championship since the 1966 American Football League Championship Game” but the Bills lost that game. I believe the film itself made a mistake, as the Bills last won in 1965. ~2026-42188-06 (talk) 06:52, 30 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
