Confusion over the extract and the actual dye which results from oxidation of the extract. Brazilin and Brazilein are NOT the same. Compare haematolxylin and haematein, again haematoxylin is not the dye but when oxidised produces haematein which is the dye.  Preceding unsigned comment added by Rjlanc (talkcontribs) 13:28, 2 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Homoisoflavonoids

Brazilin is a homoisoflavonoid, so I have substituted Category:Oxygen heterocycles with Category:Homoisoflavonoids. kupirijo (talk) 16:07, 16 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
