@HK Sports Desk: As I posted to your query on my user talk page, the removal of the content about the academic team has nothing to do with trying to diminish the accomplishments of the team and everything to do with the content not being in compliance with Wikipedia policies WP:V and WP:NPOV. Since you seem to be relatively new to Wikipedia editing, all Wikipedia content is, in principle, required to be supported by citations to reliable sources so that it can be verified by Wikipedia's readers. Content that isn't supported by reliable sources is considered to be original research and, thus, subject to removal at any time per WP:BURDEN. Moreover, since Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, content is expected to be written in a neutral point of view and encyclopedic tone as much as possible, and any exception claims (e.g., "under the great leadership of Tyler Murphy") need to be properly attributed to a reliable source and reworded to remove any words to watch or any other promotional sounding phrasing.

If you'd like to discuss ways to improve the content here on this talk page I'd be more that happy to do so; moreover, if you want to provide links or information about reliable sources which have covered the team and its accomplishments, I also be more than happy to help figure out a way to incorporate such content into the article in a way that meets relevant Wikipedia policies and guidelines. Continuing, however, to simply brute-force re-add the content as is without any attempt at discussion will most likely be seen as either edit warring or disruption by a Wikipedia administrator, which in turn could lead to action being taken against your account. In general, disagreements over Wikipedia content are expected to be resolved in accordance with WP:DISPUTERESOLUTION, which also can involved seeking input from other parties. If you're connected to the team, then you have a conflict-of-interest regarding any content about it on Wikipedia and should, therefore, take a close look at WP:COI. Being connected to the subject of an article doesn't give one any specific editorial control over the article's content; it actually can be a detriment to Wikipedia. All content needs to be assessed in accordance with relevant Wikipedia policies and guidelines regardless of how long ago it was added. So, perhaps by working together, we can figure out a way to best do that. If you're able to provide any information about reliable sources (as defined by Wikipedia), ideally WP:SECONDARY reliable sources, about the team and its accomplishments, then we can start working out how to best include that information in the article. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:53, 25 March 2026 (UTC)

This article is sadly lacking the usual text for school articles that includes a more thorough description of the academic programs and history. The sports sections amount to little more than lists of athletes, coaches and records.

The following sources from above may be inaccurate as it first of lists the name as "Boyd County High School History" Which is not actually located in Boyd County, Kentucky in Ashland. The following information is also false "Present day Boyd County High School history (1957 – present)" Boyle County High School was founded in 1963. Most of the sources seem to be very outdated and not connected to the modern Day High School that started in 1963. BluegrassEditor22 (talk) 04:07, 27 March 2026 (UTC)

My apologies-- BluegrassEditor22 is correct that the Subtitles and one ref of the 21 cited is erroneously about Boyd County, not Boyle County.

However, the present article focuses on Boyle County High School in its most recent building (beginning in the 1963-64 school year) and ignores Boyle County HS as an institution that goes back to about 1913 (and even earlier to the Sullivan Law passed in 1908 — see Moments in Kentucky Legislative History). The earliest newspaper articles identify faculty from Danville High School as instrumental in setting up the curriculum, identifying textbooks, and setting entrance exam standards. There was also a huge debate in the newspapers when the voters were asked to approve a plan that included Danville High School as one of the high schools in the new county district.
