"Erroneous indications were received from the Thule Air Base BAS in 1968 when a B-52 on Chrome Dome Alert crashed into the ground." may be bogus. This refers to the event described in 1968 Thule Air_Base B-52 crash. The Bomb Alarm System was US-based only. There is later speculation that had the Thule crash knocked out communications at Thule, loss of communications with both Thule Base and the Thule Monitor aircraft would have been considered an attack indication.
