Comments
- They were the Dartmouth Indians back then.
- Fixed, thanks.
- Added PFR to infobox.
- "Krieger attended West High School in Minneapolis where he competed in football, baseball and basketball" comma before where.
- Done.
- Link Dartmouth Indians in body?
- I added
Krieger attended Dartmouth from 1937 to 1940 and played for the Dartmouth Indians football team.
- Indians was already listed in the body. You didn't have to add any prose. Just link what was already there. ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 12:14, 17 August 2026 (UTC)
- I added
- "He won a starting role in 1939, beginning at right halfback before being shifted to left halfback, and later to end." End is already linked earlier in body.
- Delinked.
- I added basketball cats.
- "After the NFL season, he was drafted to serve in World War II and was a member of the United States Army Air Forces." Source doesn't say he was drafted. Could have volunteered.
- Changed to
After the NFL season, he enlisted to serve in the United States Army Air Forces during World War II.
- Changed to
- I added some award categories.
- Added coaching cats.
- Full name cited in body please. It's not always obvious what the source is. PFR and PFA are different sometimes.
- Done.

Article length and age are fine, no copyvio or plagiarism concerns, reliable sources are used, almost entirely big city newspapers. But the only hook offered is unnecessarily short and pretty vanilla, tbh. I would strongly recommend looking at an alt hook referencing his key role in the Fifth Down Game (1940) or that he received the Distinguished Flying Cross for flying 30 bomber missions over Germany in WWII. Also, at the time of review, no QPQ had been completed. Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 07:23, 17 August 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks, will do QPQ and look into alternate hooks early tomorrow (August 17). BeanieFan11 (talk) 03:40, 18 August 2026 (UTC)
- Sorry for delay, will look into this over the weekend. BeanieFan11 (talk) 03:55, 22 August 2026 (UTC)
- Perhaps ALT1 ... that Bob Krieger left the NFL to fly more than 30 bomber missions over Germany in World War II? BeanieFan11 (talk) 02:00, 27 August 2026 (UTC)
- QPQ done now, that one is ok but I would also include an ALT2 that Bob Krieger kicked the winning field goal in the infamous 1940 Fifth Down Game? What do you think? Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 06:57, 29 August 2026 (UTC)
- My concern with that is few people will know what the Fifth Down Game is – its notable in a Wikipedia sense of course but it isn't well-known. BeanieFan11 (talk) 22:49, 1 September 2026 (UTC)

- I actually thought that ALT0 was a decent hook. ALT1 would require in-American football terminology or knowing the concept of four downs, so it would have a more limited audience. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 01:25, 3 September 2026 (UTC)
- @BeanieFan11: I could approve ALT1, but in its current shape it incorrectly implies it was permanent, and it's not directly stated that the NFL leave was related to WW2, so perhaps this ALT1b that adds "briefly" to clarify it's temporary. Agree ALT2 (incorrectly referred in above comment as ALT1) doesn't work re DYKINT.
