remove citations tag?

[edit]

I added a citation with appropriate info for most of this article. I'm pretty new here and don't know if this constitutes enough to remove the "needs citation" tag. Zephyr1999 (talk) 22:29, 25 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

merger

[edit]

merge blastospore page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blastospore onto this page {{merge from|blastospore}} and {{merge to|blastoconidium}} Libby O'Brien (talk) 15:17, 4 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for giving the merge process a go, presumably as part of ENGL 312 Science Writing. Please have another look at WP:MERGING. When proposing a merge, you need to give a justification for the proposal; also, the templates go on the article page (not the talk page), and you can't merge an article into itself. Perhaps Amnot Areso can help. Klbrain (talk) 09:53, 7 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

I spoke to my advisor about this, and the two terms blastoconidium and blastospore are synonymous and mean the same thing. Here is a good source for justification: https://wisconsin.hosts.atlas-sys.com/illiad/gze/illiad.dll?Action=10&Form=75&Value=2897720 which is an article written by R.R. Davies. I was thinking a redirect may be a good option, and I would add to the blastospore page because that is the more common term looked up~, and have that page redirect to blastoconidium.Libby O'Brien (talk) 16:10, 9 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
