Untrue that he was unable to document his longevity with documentation
[edit]It’s just that the documentation was unacceptable to westerners.
Mr. Choudhary was born around 1856 in rural Nepal. There was no such thing as a birth certificate, which is the basis for the rejection of his age claim.
He did, however, have something that was even more convincing: at the time of his birth, a detailed astrological chart was prepared. This document survived and was evaluated by the Nepal Department of Archaeology, which verified its authenticity.
Further, Mr. Choudhary spoke a language that was nearly dead and only spoken by a son who was in his 80s.
He was awarded a special medal by the King of Nepal once the DoA had completed its research into Mr. Choudhary’s life — not something done lightly in those days, when Nepal still had a monarchy.
It is a pity that it is western judgement upon which the determination of things like this depends. ~2026-18002-01 (talk) 04:28, 23 March 2026 (UTC)
