Feedback from New Page Review process

[edit]

I left the following feedback for the creator/future reviewers while reviewing this article: Thanks for creating this page for Grunch, best known as a social medical influencer advocating for women in surgery. For future article, remember that categories are helpful to add when you move from draft to mainspace, and citations should be kept out of headings (which simplifies linking to them).

Notability

[edit]

Is she actually notable enough for her own page?

Her surgical accomplishments, as listed in the article, are either not that impressive or aren’t unusual for a neurosurgeon. As a neurosurgeon her accomplishments don’t warrant its own article.

As an influencer with a follower count that isn’t that notable, her own article also doesn’t seem notable. ~2025-30990-64 (talk) 02:34, 5 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

She has been named a Top Doctor by the Georgia Trend Magazine and the Atlanta Magazine since 2020 and is an advocate for women in stem with over 2.6 million followers on TikTok alone. If she were a man would you ask the same question? Women are notable. Kipper13 (talk) 15:43, 8 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
Wikipedia’s inclusion criteria (notability guidelines) for physicians and academics are based on structural achievements like peer-reviewed publications, institutional leadership, and major industry recognition—not gender. Period Lainiedi (talk) 20:22, 20 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Grunch has an academic h-index score of 5, which is extremely low in their field. She's not a notable academic scholar, thus fails WP:NACADEMIC. The question then is whether or not she a notable social media influencer/entertainer? Having millions of followers or subscribers is irrelevant. What would be key in this case: does she meet the general notability criteria of WP:GNG or WP:ENTERTAINER? There have been many discussions that YouTubers must meet both criteria, GNG and ENTERTAINER. Netherzone (talk) 23:17, 20 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Career update

[edit]

This article is subscription only, and its associated image was removed due to CI issues per diff. If anyone can view and glean pertinent information for section update?

COI tag (June 2026)

Repeated removal of reliably sourced content by anonymous IPs, with the use of false edit summaries. This also includes the removal of reliable sourced content that is not entirely positive. This introduces bias in the article and goes against WP:NPOV policy. Netherzone (talk) 23:19, 20 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
