[edit]

In the Battle of Dodderi, the initial Mughal imperial army under General Qasim Khan was around 25,000-30,000, but General Khanazad Khan also came to aid Qasim Khan with a reinforcement of around 40,000 Mughal soldiers, so the total strength of the Mughal army was around 60,000-70,000, and Santaji Ghorpade defeated the Mughals in this battle with an army of around 20,000 Marathas (around 15,000 Maratha light cavalry and 5,000 musketeers). The total Mughal casualties were over 40,000 (20,000 Mughals died in the initial 3-day clashes and 20,000 more died in the Dodderi fort due to mass starvation, infections and diseases after Santaji Ghorpade blockaded the fort for 13 days straight). Kindly update the information, please... ~2026-40290-95 (talk) 18:35, 17 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
