Fixing the spelling of his name

How do we fix the spelling of his name not only here but throughout Wikipedia?

On his Web site, he spells it DeVorzon, without a space.

A Wikipedia search redirects "Barry Devorzon" to this page, so I presume there's a redirect page with that title. I guess the content of this page could be put there, and this page made the redirect page, if you felt strongly enough about it. Lyn50 (talk) 03:58, 2 January 2016 (UTC)

In old databases, names with capitals in their midst were spelled with a space to indicate that there was a capital there. It was a questionable database move, but it was extremely common. I imagine that this happened with his name at BMI. DeVorzon (no space, with a capital) is how it was spelled at the old Website. Doesn't make sense

His first composing big hit was the rock song "Dreamin'," sung by Johnny Burnette in 1960, although he had a number-one hit previously called "Just Married," which he wrote for Marty Robbins in 1958.

How can a 1960 release be his first "composing big hit" if he had a "number-one hit previously" in 1958. Why "although"?

I think this guy deserves a better page than this.

Lead and "Biography" sections

Much of the content in the lead section doesn't seem to mentioned anywhere else in the rest of the article. Perhaps this is because the article started out as a stub and was subsequently expanded thereafter. This kind of thing, though, is generally not in accordance with MOS:LEAD because the lead section of an article ideally summarizes what comes later; in other words, it's not really supposed to be the only place the content is found, except perhaps those case where the article is nothing more than a lead section.

Another thing worth considering is that the entire article is a "biography" so to speak so it seems a bit odd (perhaps only to me) for their to be a sub-section of the article titled "Biography". It might be better rename that section and perhaps even further divide it into subsections either by time or by career highlights. Doing so might make it also easier for future expansion. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:50, 24 May 2024 (UTC)

I just attempted to fix those issues. I renamed "Biography" to "Career", moved the stuff in the lead into the Career section, and added a summary sentence to the lead. ~Anachronist (talk) 15:51, 24 May 2024 (UTC)
