Barnes' eight wins against Morphy
[edit]Didn't Morphy give odds of pawn and move or greater in all those games? Admittedly there were few players in the world at that time who could beat Morphy even with those odds, but if this is true it should be mentioned. Quale 15:24, 3 May 2005 (UTC)
- A small amount of research seems to show I'm wrong. The article itself says Barnes won a playing Black, so clearly x and move odds aren't possible. One site I saw indicated that Barnes had 8 victories against Morphy — and 19 losses, but of course that was a very good record against Morphy. Quale 22:31, 3 May 2005 (UTC)
