This article needs more information - there are plenty of interviews coming out with Barkaa lately and she's becoming an important Australian artist. Kat7502 (talk) 09:40, 1 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

On their handle, I notice that Vogue says "the eponym ‘Barkaa’ was inspired by the name of her mother’s tribe, the Barkindji People of Far West New South Wales" Campbell 9 July 2021 which may not necessarily contradict the explanation "Barkaa takes her moniker from the Barkindji word for the Darling River)." in The Guardian interview cited here 29 Nov 2021 ~ cygnis insignis 10:44, 19 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

re: reference 3 - Triple J article

[edit]

The Triple J article (number “3” in the reference list) - at least from my reading of the article - is a list of five female artists (one from the US, two UK based artists and two Australians) who the author believes are underrated and overlooked. It is not a list of “top female rappers” - in Australia or elsewhere. NellJoe (talk) 12:36, 23 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
