[edit]Actually, the lighthouse of cape barfleur is on Gatteville Commun, this cape is also called Gatteville 's cape
Lay of the Beach
[edit]One might mention "The Lay of the Beach" by "the Red Lady of Brittany", a poem written about a Norman fleet gathered in Barfleur. A short description of it survives in a Norse translation, "Strandar ljóð", from the early 1200s. (I cannot help wondering whether the Red Lady was the famous "Muriel the Poetess" who later resided in Wilton Abbey, Muriel being a classic Breton name.) Zoetropo (talk) 01:53, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
