Fair use rationale for Image:Balestier Khalsa FC.gif

[edit]

Image:Balestier Khalsa FC.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

How many goals has Daniel Goh scored?

[edit]

@Justanothersgwikieditor, ~2025-38220-03, ~2026-84418-4: I have noticed that a number of back-and-forth edits have been made on whether Daniel Goh's total number of goals scored should be 20 or 21. I would love to see this matter come to a definite conclusion, because otherwise the disagreement will only continue going forward, such that when Daniel Goh scores another goal, the argument becomes whether the number should be 21 or 22, and so on. I hope the three of you who have made edits on this matter, and anyone else who has an opinion one way or the other, will present your case below, so we can move towards coming to a consensus. ~2026-13727-45 (talk) 20:20, 9 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

@~2026-13727-45, the case is simple. @~2026-84418-4 claims online databases are wrong and based on a youtube video. In his words, Many online sources record the total as 21 which is wrong. This is due to many records indicating he scored 2 goals in a match on 12 Aug 2023 (Balestier 6 vs Geylang 2). This was what was initially indicated in the match (and recorded online) but subsequently, his second goal was recorded as an own goal. This can be seen for example in online highlights on YouTube which indicates the second goal as an own goal. Wikipedia relies on Verifiability, requiring reliable sources, which will be the online/offline databases and websites. What ~2026-84418-4 had claimed is based on a youtube video which he did not provide a link aka no verifiability, youtube videos are generally unacceptable as sources although depending on the source of the youtube video, it may be acceptable by WP:SELFSOURCE if is objective and published by the Football Association of Singapore or Singapore Premier League. Unfortunately, there was no idea which video ~2026-84418-4 is referring to, so the next reliable source is online databases / websites which reflected that Goh scored two goals in that match. ~ JASWE (talk) 00:43, 10 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
To add on, even if the highlights show it is an own goal and not scored by Goh. Was the highlights following the actual match reporting (that it was an own goal) and later decided by SPL and FAS that it was awarded to Goh (after the highlights are shown)? Official match report would confirm FAS or SPL attributed the goal to who. ~ JASWE (talk) 01:03, 10 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
