I have reverted twice the incorrect title using "Árd" with a fada, as far as I can see using a fada is asolutely incorrect and I have brought this to the attention of Irish wikipedians' notice board also the following email I recieved when I raised the matter with the Office of the Attorney-General:

I refer to your email of the 18th of October. You are quite correct that the fada appears in error on the banner on our website. This fada does not appear on the headed notepaper of this office, or on the annual report, published by this office.

Thank you for bringing this error to our attention. The error has now been corrected.

Furthermore the constitution uses the term without a fada and this will take precidence in all cases. Djegan 15:02, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Wrong Paul Gallagher

The link to Paul Gallagher is to a scottish footballer. Unless the new government has made a somewhat more radical appointment this may be incorrect.

Party affiliation

Would it make sense to add party colours to the numbers as is done in e.g. Taoiseach#List_of_office_holders? Alekksandr (talk) 21:29, 5 February 2023 (UTC)

I don't think it does as I don't think it adds greatly to the article where are ambiguities: there are many AGs who are not members of political parties (e.g. the current AG ("Fanning is not a member of a political party") and there are many whose political background is not easily obtainable. I agree with ZL10. While many if not most have been members of parties, and while it is a political appointment, it is not a political office. Even where someone is a member of a party, they're not being appointed qua party. For example, Kenny re-appointed Labour member Máire Whelan in 2016; this wasn't as part of a continuing deal or arrangement with the Labour Party, and to add the red colour to her row could suggest otherwise. While party colours are used on Attorney-General for Ireland, these were perhaps much more of a partisan appointment that is the case with our current AG.
