what tense?

[edit]

I just thought that the article would sound better if it was written in the past tense. As in "Aravis was a runaway from Caloremene." not "Aravis is a runaway from Caloremene." This is because she is not currently running away from Calormene; she ran away from Calormene. I hope this post all made sense. I'll wait to change the article, but if no one responds I'll assume I have and O.K. --fanturmandos 14:53, 26 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

I just rewrote the whole biographical summary to be in the past tense, added links, and added some information. --fanturmandos 14:46, 16 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, but I reverted for now, since there were misspellings ("Caloreman", "marrys"), awkward phrasings, and omitted details (the Great Reunion in Aslan's Country, etc.). AnonMoos 14:52, 16 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
that's what I thought I fixed... compare the articles, I thought the revisions were for the better. - not to mention it says "Aravis's" not "Aravis'". I see that I spelled some things wrong, but wouldn't it been enough to just respell them. and I ddin't use "Great Reunion in Aslan's Country) --fanturmandos 15:17, 16 July 2007 (UTC)--fanturmandos 15:30, 16 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
I know I'm biased but I keep looking back and comparing the edits, and just so much is wrong with the article now. I don't want to start an edit war or something, but rather reach a compromise. Please respond so we can try to edit it together! --fanturmandos 15:42, 16 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Does anyone know the proper pronunciation of Aravis? My wife claims it's like "Aragorn" - AIRavus and I say it's aRAVis..?? Anyone know?

I've always pronounced it as AIRavis (no "u"!!!) --fanturmandos 22:44, 8 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Aravis's name

[edit]

A star named Aravin is mentioned at least once in the chronicles; is it possible Aravis is named after it?--ShapaKeesay 17:30, 21 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

That would be pure speculation (or in Wikipedia terms, "Original research"). AnonMoos 19:28, 21 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Biography?

[edit]

The biography appears quite a bit more detailed than it absolutely needs to be, and has more plot summary than is necessary to summarize who a character is. Should it be made more brief? 65.184.152.124 (talk) 20:03, 22 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
