"Arabia is not about religion"

Please justify deleting the entire section you just deleted by discussing it before going forward with such a change, if you think its WP:UNDUE, please discuss first.

This article is introduced by "Arab cuisine collectively refers to the regional culinary traditions of the Arab world, consisting of the Maghreb (the west) and the Mashriq (the east).", deciding that the religious traditions of a large section of the regions population is irrelevant is very biased, this is as non-sensical to me as ignoring the influence of religion on any other aspect of the culture, be it linguistic, political or else.

If you think its biased towards Islamic culinary tradition, then you can simply balance it out by adding information about non-Islamic tradition.

Respected sir/madam

Food has nothing to do with religion. Geography does not have anything to do with religion. Arabs were once Christians, Jews and Jewish Christians. So the cooking in Arabia developed before the advent of Islam and what if for example, Christianity and Judaism return to this region and form majority. Don’t mix food with religion.

I appreciate that you took the time to consider my recommendations, but I do want to stress that this article is about culinary tradition, not just food, which is usually what the word "cuisine" usually refers to, regional cuisine is a product of geography and culture (see: Jewish cuisine), and this page is tagged with Category:Arab culture.

And if the Arab world suddenly develops a majority of Jews or Christians or Scientologists, then we will simply document their culinary traditions the same way we are doing here.
