Al Sieber

[edit]

Albert Sieber was not an Apache and was a civilian contractor for the Military (as were most non-native american scouts of his era). He was Chief of Scouts and did work with Apache Scouts. Nice picture. However, it would be nice to get a picture of an Apache Scout for the US Military. --Rcollman 02:34, 25 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Warm Springs (not Apache) scouts in the 1870s.

This removed photo does not show Apache scouts and/or Chíhéne or Warm Springs Apache, but presumably members of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs. The Warm Spring Indian Scouts were a group of Native American scouts from the Warm Springs Reservation in Oregon. Therefore, it is inappropriate in the context of this article. Compare, for example, https://www.alamy.com/stock-photo-the-warm-spring-indian-scouts-were-a-group-of-native-american-scouts-140674157.html.
