Wearing white headgear
[edit]Just a note of a possibility. I was interested in the "headgear" having a Methodist relative of the same generation who was famous for always wearing a white lace cap. But when you look at the photo carefully it looks more like someone has scratched the photo to identify her. Eddaido (talk) 03:20, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
- As it happens, I was viewing this photo an hour or so ago as it was published in the New Zealand Graphic of 16 May 1896. The hat is part of the photo, not a scratch on the copy scanned by the National Library.-gadfium 03:37, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
