Upcoming changes

[edit]

This is an overview of changes I plan to make to this article. They're here for comment, if needed.

  • Per MOS:TVPLOT, "An article should not have both an episode table with summaries and a prose plot summary." The "Synopsis" and "Episodes" sections should be merged.
  • Most or all instances of they referring to characters should be he. A source comment currently reads:

Please remember very few of the stick figures have a canon in-universe gender; gender-neutral pronouns are best in use for all characters of this universe unless established otherwise. The only source of canon gender that exists in-universe is in the "Influencer Arc" focussing on the character Green, which has not yet been confirmed to be canon.

There's no reason not to consider these. In addition, the description of "Animator vs. Animation 4" calls The Chosen One by "he", and Reddit tells me Alan Becker calls the characters male pronouns too on Animators vs. Games. I don't know how this should be sourced, since citing every time he says "he" would be very cumbersome. Maybe I'll just put them here for now when I have them.
  • I think in episode tables titles like "The Showdown - Animator vs. Animation Shorts Ep 4" can safely be shortened to titles like "The Showdown".
  • Several episode synopses need to be cut down to 200 words per MOS:TVPLOT.
  • "Victim" needs to be normalized as lowercase or capitalized; I don't have a firm opinion which way.  gabldotink [ talk | contribs | global account ] 04:39, 1 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Shortening down episode titles/removing the '- Animator vs. Animation [number]'?

[edit]

Maybe we should consider shortening down the episode titles to their names only? Sure it's accurate to the original video titles but the episode number is already in the table so it makes it a bit redundant having it (if that makes sense). Mockapedia (talk) 18:12, 30 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

You're right! But this is recommended for Season 2+ episode titles! 83.239.91.170 (talk) 15:40, 6 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

avm, ave and others in the episodes section

[edit]

there should be avm episodes and other series episodes in the episodes section, it also could be in the other media tab, if neither ill create a separate article for it, you can see what it could look like in my sandbox. Misterpotatoman (talk) 12:27, 25 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

I don't think so, this is the article literally called Animator vs. Animation and should only have that series listed. Ayellowfan (talk) 04:39, 13 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
Series names often are the same as the first entry in said series. Proplayen (talk) 10:55, 22 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Misterpotatoman No, AVM is its own show with more episodes with AVA itself, AVM deserves its own article ~2026-37667-03 (talk) 03:03, 6 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Corn Dog guy

[edit]

Where is corn dog guy? he isn't very important to the story, but IS a recurring character. he should at least be in the others section with Mitsi and the Virabots. I'm not an editor, but I wanted to bring this to the attention of editors. ~2026-37667-03 (talk) 02:34, 4 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

AVM needs its own page

[edit]

Animation VS Minecraft has more episodes than Animator VS Animation and has multiple original characters. It deserves its own article, now, I don't have an account, but I'm willing to help form one made by someone else ~2026-37667-03 (talk) 05:27, 5 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

There is a draft at Draft:Animation vs. Minecraft, consider improving then resubmitting the draft. Misterpotatoman (talk) 02:32, 9 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Over-detailed descriptions of the characters

[edit]

The descriptions for the artificial stick figures are especially over-detailed and often repeat the same information. Several other characters are also affected by this isssue.

Each description should be limited to only the essential aspects of the character, not summaries of their main actions in the story, which should be relegated to the episode descriptions anyway. A brief outline of their appearance, features, personality and role in the story will be enough, with the text limited to 2-4 lines at most, following the example of the fighting stick figures. No large exposition of abilities is needed.

A lot of text is redundant and should be removed. Oscdac (talk) 15:02, 25 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
